Cheryl "Cheri" R. Lancaster

Cheryl “Cheri” Jones Lancaster, 53, of Akron, gained her angel wings on Saturday November 26, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, Lawrence Jones.

Her legacy of love will be carried on by her husband, John “Randy” Lancaster; mother, Patricia (William) Jones-Warlop; children, Amanda “Mandi” Watson, Ryan and Jaclyn “Jaci” Lancaster, Joseph “Joe” Lancaster, and Michael “Mike” (Allison) Lancaster; grandchildren, Dylan Watson and Aria Lancaster, as well as other cherished family and friends.

Cheri was a graduate of North High School, and was a “North Hill” girl from the start.  She dedicated her life to the service of others including volunteer work through the Girl Scouts of America and Job’s Daughters International, several years of employment as a bus driver through Akron Public Schools in addition to her years of service through Akron Children’s Hospital as school health aid.  Cheri lived with the grace of God and was a member of New Beginning Fellowship Church.  She had a creative spirit and enjoyed her time in the craft room almost as much as she enjoyed giving her creations to the ones she loved.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and also one hour prior to the service.

Funeral Service will be 12 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Tommie Nicholas officiating.

Interment will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Cheri requested that donations be made to the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorder, 1 Perkins Square, Akron, OH  44302.
