Dennis A. Roddie, 74, passed away April 2, 2017.
Born in Cleveland, Dennis had lived in Tallmadge since 1988. He Served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Select Machine with 42 ½ years of service. He played the guitar in the band “Flipside”. He enjoyed motorcycles, gambling, gardening, woodworking, and refinishing furniture.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Lynne; daughters, Denise (Ryan) Moore, Astoria, OR, Vicki (Tommy Moore) Roddie of Kent, and Lisa (Jeff ) Burger of Kent; daughter in law, Renee (Bobby) Lybrook of Akron; son in law, Matt (Beth) Smith of Brimfield; grandchildren, Lauren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Amanda, Jacob, and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Tristan, Daphne, Macy, Tabitha, Tori, Dakota, and Kayla; great great granddaughter, Amber; brother, Kenneth (Giz) Roddie of Macedonia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Barry French officiating.
Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 9:30 Monday, April 10, 2017.
