Donald C. Neidert, 72, of Tallmadge went home to be with the Lord on April 16th. He was born in Akron on April 23rd, 1945 to Elizabeth and Philip Neidert.
Don served in Vietnam with the 540th Transportation Company as a mechanic. He worked for Dave-Towell Cadillac, and VanDevere Oldsmobile for 30 years and retired in 2007. Don enjoyed golfing, fishing, trips to Canada with family and friends, sausage making with his brothers, hiking in the metro parks with his wife and his sisters, family dinners and get togethers, and spending time with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew.
Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Neidert; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Julie; granddaughter, Kaylynn; brothers, James, and Jeffrey; sisters, Betty Darrah, Margaret Neidert, Patricia Gay and Joan Neidert; sisters-in-law, Evalynn (Zell) Lambert, and Nancy (Gary) Long; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Walker officiating.
Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
