George I. Morgan passed away on December 20th, 2017 at the age of 91.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on February 1, 1926, and lived most of his life in Tallmadge and winters in Lantana, Fl.
George graduated from Springfield High in 1944. He was drafted into the Navy, June 1944-46 during World War II. A University of Akron alumni in Electrical Engineering, employed at Goodyear Aerospace/Loral for 36 years. In 1959, George and Carol (Wagner) were married. He was a kind, gentle loving man to everybody who knew him. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and The American Legion. He loved to play golf and followed all his Cleveland sports teams.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol; parents, Sheridan and Pauline Morgan; brother, Robert, and their two dachshunds.
George is survived by daughters, Chris (Tom) Rogers, Suzy (Adam) Rodatt and son, Kevin (Diane) Morgan; grandchildren, Tim and Tyler Rogers, Alison, Marisa, and Andrew Rodatt; brother, Sheridan; and sister-in-laws, Dee Wagner & Greta Morgan. He will be missed by many close friends, Chuck & Nancy Weiss, Floyd & Pat Nissel, and longtime friends, Bill Owens, and Jack Hopkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to: Dachshund Rescue of Ohio, and Seasons of Life Hospice in Parma, Ohio.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 3-7 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Mass of Christian Burial, 10am on Friday, January 5th at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave, Tallmadge. PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH.
Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
