TALLMADGE- John F. Rudwell, 73, passed away on April 16, 2018 at Akron General Medical Center.
Born in Akron, Ohio on June 24, 1944, to the late William C. Rudwell, Sr., and Beulah Fellows Rudwell (Fellows), John Rudwell lived in Tallmadge, Ohio most of his life, and graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1964.
John was a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church, and a member of the Boy Scouts of America. In his more than fifty-five years of service with the Boy Scouts, he served in Crew 2018, Troops 361, 362 and 43, and served in two Tri-Fires District positions, as a District Member-At-Large, and as a Merit Badge Counselor. He received all his merit badges, numerous awards from the Boy Scouts of America, including the District Commissioner's Key Award, the 45 Year Veteran Award, 50 Year Veteran Award, and 55 Year Veteran Award. John was also a part of the Order of the Arrow, and completed his Wood Badge Training. John also enjoyed bowling and playing cards and games.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister, Ann Rudwell.
John is survived by his brother, William C. Rudwell Jr.
Cremation has taken place.
Burial will take place in Wisconsin at the convenience of the family.
A memorial service will be held at the Tallmadge United Methodist Church (207 N Munroe Rd, Tallmadge, OH 44278), on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Scott M. Low, officiating.
