Kevin M. Walsh

Kevin M. Walsh, 61, passed away surrounded by his family, March 23, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman E. and Frances J., who have welcomed him home with loving arms. 

 He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and their devoted canine companion, Cinder, his brothers; Timothy (Donna Cecil) of Copley, Dennis of Akron, Rusty (Lori) of Tallmadge, and Leslie (Beth) of Brimfield.  He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews; Lucas, Brianna, Andrey and Emily Rose, his uncle and aunt, Paul and Marie Chesser, his aunt, Mary Brett, as well as his many, many cousins.

 Whether he was teasing his friends, family and especially his "girl" cousins, driving the bulldozer, operating an excavator, riding horses, working the farms, or just visiting with friends on his deck, Kevin LOVED to make everyone laugh! The twinkle in his eye, his quick wit, his quirky sense of humor, his joy of pranking everyone and fearless approach to most things will be missed by all. He vigilantly watched over his farms, on both sides of the street, his aunt and uncle's home and all of his neighbors. If you wanted to know what was going on 24/7 in his neighborhood, you went to Kevin.  He was always willing to help others and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed such. 

He was a lifetime member of the American, Ohio and Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Associations.  He worked with the family business, N. E. Walsh Construction Co., Inc. for 45+ years.

 Cremation has taken place.  In celebration of his life, a private memorial mass for the family will be held in the future.

 In lieu of flowers, donations celebrating Kevin’s love of his farming/equine lifestyle may be made to the Summit County Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund/Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation at 1200 N. Main St., North Canton, Oh. 44720
