Max Peterson

Max Peterson died in hospice care at Akron City Hospital, Sunday April 17, 2016 at the age of 82.

Max was born in Cleveland to his parents Mary and Max Peterson.

Max served in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1989 from the City of Akron. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years and the mother of his children; son Ronald Peterson; his sister, Lillian Florek; brothers, Al and Harry Peterson.

Max is survived by his wife, Mary Myers-Peterson; daughters, Janet (Ron) Malec of Chardon, Barbara (Vern) Brown of Ravenna, Jackie (Dennis) Connet of Chardon; son, Tom (Kris) Peterson of Mantua; grandchildren, Michelle, Sarah Malec, Chrissy, Tommy Peterson, Lori Peterson; and sister, Ruth Kish of Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday following visitation at the funeral home with Rev. David Lowther officiating.      

Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
