Welcome to the memorial page for

Pauline M Stayshich

September 20, 1927 ~ September 18, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Pauline M. Stayshich, 89, passed away September 18, 2017.  Born in Akron, she had lived in Miami, California, then retiring in Tallmadge before moving to Munroe Falls.

Pauline was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milan; three sisters and three brothers.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Janice Stayshich of Clarkston GA, son, David (Susan) Stayshich of Richmond, TX, Roseanne (Elvon) Douglas of Port Angeles WA; grandchildren, Carrie Perez, Miles (Renata) Irving, Joseph (Gina) Stayshich, Chris (Kate) Feiler, Taifa (Martin) Gaskins; great grandchildren, Rory Perez, Jhonnie (Enrique) Soto, Iam Irving, Acacia Irving, Mason Gaskins, Madison Gaskins; great-great-grandchildren, Ema Soto, and Emilio Soto, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Pauline was the consummate homemaker. She loved to cook, sew, decorate her house and entertain at home. She was content in this role but her life took her to many journeys of discovery when her husband, Milan, joined Goodyear Airship Operations as a blimp mechanic. She and her family moved to Miami where the first blimp base was in 1960. The family then moved to California in 1963 with the second blimp. Pauline joined the caravan of blimp wives and children following the blimp as it traveled during summer tours. She embraced this lifestyle enthusiastically and became the godmother to the blimp families helping, guiding, mentoring in whatever way she could. When Milan retired in 1989 they moved back to Ohio settling in Tallmadge and reconnecting with family and friends.

When Milan passed in 2005 Pauline moved to Mulberry Gardens Assisted Living in Munroe Falls where she touched many of the residents and staff with her resilience, kindness, compassion and positive attitude about life.

The culmination of her life was seen in a beautiful celebration of her in July at New Era Restaurant where many family members and friends came to pay tribute to her. Her flame of light and love may be flickering now but will never be extinguished as people hold dear the memories of her and the unlimited love she showed to everyone who crossed her path.
