Rose (Cericola) Barbetta

Rose Barbetta, 87, passed away August 21, 2015.

She was born in Orsara di Puglia, Italy and had lived in Tallmadge since 1961.

Rose was a seamstress with Polsky’s for 18 years and a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tallmadge. Rose enjoyed playing cards with her friends, shopping, cooking, and caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Barbetta; sisters, Giovanna, Antonietta, and Roccina; brother, Giuseppe; and sisters-in-law, Elsa Barbetta and Lucy Pinto.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Donna (Dan) Garber and Tina (Mike) Fiocca; son, John (Erin) Barbetta; grandchildren, Eric, Kelsey, Nicholas, Jack-Henry, Gianna, Erin, Mark, and Steven; brother, Mario Cericola; brothers-in-law, Mike Barbetta and Frank Pinto, and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Acute Palliative Care Unit staff at Summa for their kind and loving care especially our angel nurse Avon.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
