Doris Parson

Doris Parson, 88, passed away November 17, 2017. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in the Akron  area.

Doris retired after 25 years as a Secretary at Suffield United Church of Christ. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge and a past member of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Howard; son, Wesley Parson; parents, Benjamin and Margaret Carlisle; brothers, Leonard, Benjamin; son in law, Robert Bartley.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Charmaine (Hank) Engel of Florida, Maureen Bartley of California, and Ramona (Michael) Baggott of Rootstown; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother in law, Wesley (Peggy) Parson of Florida.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at the DONOVAN FUNERAL HOME, 17 Southwest Ave, (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, 85 Heritage Dr., Tallmadge with Pastor Neal Sandler officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
