George was born in Bessemer, PA on May 7, 1930. He served during the Korean War and was stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany. After his discharge he became employed by the Ford Motor Company at the Walton Hills Plant as a tool-die maker, where he retired with 38 years of service. George was a member of Ford U.A.W. Local #420 and Ford Retiree Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
George is survived by his wife of 63 years, Josephine, sons, George (Denise) and Larry; daughters, Marianne (Brian) and Diane (Darrell); grandchildren, Emily (Andrew), Erika (Carter), Meredith, Olivia, and Andrew; three great grandchildren; and sisters, Pauline and Irene.
Visitation will be 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
