James W. Schrag

November 12, 1914 ~ October 16, 2017 (age 102) 102 Years Old

James W. Schrag, 102, passed away October 16, 2017.  Born in Cumberland, Maryland, he lived most of his life in the Akron area.

James served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired in 1976 as a Truck Driver for Borden Milk Company. He had been a member of St. Hedwig for many years. James had been a member of the Stow Glen Community for the past 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents, Frank and Margaret Schrag; brother, Frank Jr. (Dee); sister, Dorothy; great granddaughter, Anna.

James is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William and Janice of Cuyahoga Falls, and Robert and Janice of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Michael (Michail), Daniel (Sarah), David (Lisa); 6 great grandchildren; brother in law, Richard Ward; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at Blessed Trinity Parish 300 E. Tallmadge Ave, Akron with Rev. Joseph Warner officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
