John M. Darrah, 56, of Randolph, passed away on Flag Day, Friday, June 14, 2019 at UH Portage and Hospice of the Western Reserve.
He was born on the coldest day, January 22, 1962 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late, CW04 Edward S. and Ruby L. (Rymer) Darrah. John was employed 33 years at General Tire/Omnova Solutions, Inc. as a Journeyman/Mechanic/Welder and a member of the First Church of God in Ravenna.
John enjoyed so much in life: Waterloo Alumni Class of 1981, music, singing, drumming on his drumset, backyard sports in his youth, euchring you, time with his cats, Cleveland Browns, OSU Football, Nascar, the Zehner brothers working on his cars, and giving a helping hand when needed.
John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Alicia Kay (Baer) Darrah; daughter, Deanna M. Darrah; sisters, Joyce (Don) Yawn of Hawkinsville, GA, Connie Darrah; brother, Edward, Jr.; mother in law, Martha (Gove) Baer; cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Darrah and father in law, Robert S. Baer.
A Life of Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at The First Church of God, 237 New Milford Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266, with Pastor Allen Fletcher officiating.

John donated his body to NEO Medical Center in Rootstown, Ohio.
Interment will be at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Randolph, Ohio.
