Kenneth Lawrence Anthony, 78, passed away April 5, 2018. Born in Meadville, PA, he had lived in the Akron area since 1971.
Kenneth was a 1959 graduate of Carnegie Institute with a degree in Medical Technology. He was a member with American Medical Technologists, Ohio State Society of Medical Technologists, and American Society of Medical Technologists, where he was honored as Medical Technologist of the year. He retired in 2001 with 30 years of service as a Medical Technologist at Akron City Hospital. He previously worked at Franklin Medical Center in Franklin, PA for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marguerite Anthony; brother, Franklin Cochran.
Kenneth is survived by his companion, William Long; sister, Eileen Hall; sister in law, Lois Cochran; nieces and nephews, Linda (Anthony) Kondzielski of Waterford, PA, Brenda (Daryl) Fulmer of Sandy Lake, PA, Alan (Denise) Cochran of Stoneboro, PA, Judith (Larry) Minter of Middleburg, FL; and many grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:00 until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. after visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Case officiating.
Interment will be at Perry Chapel Cemetery, Clark Mills, Pennsylvania at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
