She was a 1950 graduate of West High School in Akron and attended both Kent State University and the University of Akron. Following marriage in 1952, she became a devoted Army wife and mother. After moving to Tallmadge, Ohio in 1958, she served as President of the Northeast Neighbors Garden Club. She worked for 25 years in the offices of General Tire. Mary loved to cook, was a student of American history and was skilled in the art of needlepoint. She loved to study Scripture, as her Lord was the focus of her life. Most of all, Mary valued her many friends and family, always putting everyone else’s needs before her own.
