Nancy “Lynne” (Ptomey) Massic, 80, passed away June 18, 2017. Born in Alamosa, Colorado, she lived most of her life in Tallmadge.
Lynne retired in 2006 with 36 years as a Speech Therapist with Mayfield City Schools and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many capacities in the Church but her favorite callings were as a Seminary Teacher for the youth and as a Visiting Teacher. She loved the Lord and followed His example by being a friend to all. She earned an undergraduate from BYU and a masters from Kent State University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Edward Massic; parents, William and Gladys Ptomey.
Lynne is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Kerry) Andrus, Kim Bushman, Anmarie Stewart, Dana (Justin) Gengle, Amber (Stephen) Lundell, Corrin (Adam) Bennion, Emily (Daniel) Gerow; sons, Todd Bushman, Jared (Khristen) Massic; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Saturday.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 106 E. Howe Road, Tallmadge with Bishop Call officiating.
Because of her love of dogs and kids, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society or any charity of your choice.
