Norma Paolucci, 87, happily rejoined the love of her life, Edmund, in Heaven on what would have been their 64th wedding anniversary, February 20, 2018. It’s the perfect ending to the perfect love story.
After many years of volunteering at St. Anthony school office and library, she eventually retired from Akron Public Schools. She continued her volunteering at St. Vincent-St. Mary, where all of her five children and many of her grandchildren attended school. In addition to being active in her community, Norma will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her Sunday Italian meals, her famous Lady Lock cookies, and her “refreshing” jello.
She was a proud member of St. Anthony Church, St. Monica Society, and The Unione Abbruzzese Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund, her parents, John & Maria, her sister, Sr. Gloria Donatelli, HM, her parents-in-law, Filideo & Milena Paolucci, niece, Carolin Atwood, and great-nephew, Jack Robert Donatelli.
Left behind to miss her but celebrate her life are her children and their spouses, Maryann and Jim Eickelman, Tom and Helen (Rospotynski) Paolucci, Chris and John Yacovazzi, David and Lisa (DiGiacomo) Paolucci and Richard and Chris (DePaul) Paolucci; 13 loving grandchildren, Erin (Derek) Klaus, Stephen (Lexy) Eickelman, Angela (Drew) Hiltbrand, Tommy (Gina Frisone) and Joey Paolucci, John (Chelsea Fort), David, and Nicholas Yacovazzi, Katie and Alyssa (Drew Laury), Nicole, Taylor, and Gino Paolucci. Norma (“1-2 Nanni”) also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Ella, Olivia, Grady, and Serafina; as well as brothers, John (Cathy) Donatelli, Bob (Connie) Donatelli and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the wonderful employees at The Gables of Hudson and Hospice of Summa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Pl., Akron OH 44310 with Fr. Ed Burba officiating. PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH.
