Paul H. Hennigin, 82, passed away on Sunday October 7, 2018.
Paul was born in Akron on December 13, 1935. He lived in the Akron area his whole life and spent his career working for Acme. He was an avid fisherman and spent much of his time on Portage Lakes, Mogadore Reservoir, Tappan Lake and Rice Lake. He also loved gardening, whether it was his favorite vegetables or taking care of rare flowers and plants. Paul had many endearing qualities, but his best was his ability to tell stories to others.
Paul was preceded in death by Donna Hennigin, wife of 32 years and brothers, George and William Hennigin.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha; his children, Paul (Sue) Hennigin and Debbie (Dennis) Jurkowski; step children, Elizabeth (Vince) Allison, Emily Hall, Ellen (Wayne) Conroy, Mike Kommersmith; grandchildren, Steve (Ashley) Jurkowski, Jennifer (Luke) Smith, Kim (Tom) Borcoman, Lisa (Bill) Machette; Savanna, Madelyn, Olivia, Ethan, Adrian, Aiden, Sara, and Trinten; great grandchildren, Abby, Ali, Lilly, Makenna, Carson, Elliana, Lilah, Greyson and Gavin; brother, Joseph Hennigin, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at St. Matthew Church, 2603 Benton Ave., Akron with Father Thomas McCann officiating.
