If the Army is lead by officers of Tom's character I will be satisfied. I would have followed him anywhere.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Tom was simply a great guy ! He was my twin brothers CO in Vietnam back in 1966. I met Tom for the first time at the Reunion held in Ft. Benning, Ga. 4 years ago and had been back and forth via email with him for over a year before that. I saw him last in Hawaii in October of 2016. No question he will be missed by a great many. He was dedicated to the 25th ID Association, and especially the 1/14th Golden Dragons and was always happy to see his men from Vietnam at the annual reunions. He always called them "His Kids". Those of us who knew Tom are gonna miss him greatly !

Tom was a selfless, kind and hardworking for the benefit of those of us in the 25th Infantry Division Association. He was the driving force behind starting the 14th Infantry Chapter and a man I consider one of my best friends. He must have been the personification of a great infantry officer with the 1/14. God Bless, Tom, I miss you so much!

I am deeply sorry for our loss of such a fine, and generous man... He was a blessing to me when we found each other again at the Wall many many years ago,,, We were the only Golden Dragons in the gathering and found each other as we gathered around 25th banner,,, I had the 1/14th guideon, he was so smiling,,, We loved each other as brothers can only do. He was always willing to give support and his wisdom to all of us,,,, I will remember him as a very great man...

Words will not ease the grief and loss of Tom to his beloved family. He was one of the good guys and a dear friend to me and the 35th Infantry Regiment Assn. I always looked forward to our corned beef lunches at Joe’s Deli in Rocky River.

Golden Dragons, Sir!
