Alta Mae (Swiger) Hale

AltaMae Hale, 91, passed away January 15, 2017

Born in Akron, she lived all of her life there. AltaMae retired with 25 years as a receptionist for Dr. Williams. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge. AltaMae loved feeding people, liked to read, loved taking pictures, loved talking on the phone to all her friends and especially loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Hale.

AltaMae is survived by her daughters, Kay (David) Mitchell of Highland, UT and Kim (James) Fleming of Tallmadge; sons, Charles "Tom" Hale of Akron, Edward Hale of Key West, FL, and Jonathan (Kris Price) Hale of Akron; daughter in law, Patricia (David) Collins; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Dixie (John) Walker and family of Tallmadge; sister in law, Ruth Hale; special friends, Pat Zimmerman and Peggy Farkas.

Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m. January 20, 2017 at First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, 85 Heritage Dr., Tallmadge with Rev. Dr. John Schluep officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Pet Rescue Organization.
