Obituary

Amelia Marie Kostandaras, age 66, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023.

Amelia Marie Cull was born in Akron, Ohio on January 23, 1957. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and resided in the Akron, Fairlawn, Richfield, and Broadview Heights area most of her life. In recent years, she moved to Akron to be close to her family.

Following in the footsteps of her beloved father, William E. Cull, Amelia began her career working in the freight industry within Northeast Ohio. Amelia would eventually settle in Richfield, Ohio, where she also raised her 3 sons, Nicholas Kostandaras III, Jonathan Kostandaras, and Michael Kostandaras. Known for her unwavering love and support for her boys and family, Amelia could always be found at every school event, practice, tournament, and social event cheering on her boys and their respective teams.

Despite retiring in 2011 to be a full-time caretaker of her beloved mother, Mary A. Cull, Amelia continued to pursue her true passions of painting, drawing, and decorating, as well as refurbishing furniture and building other artistic home décor in her free time. As of late, Amelia spent most of her time with friends and family watching beautiful sunrises on the beach, morning bike rides on a Harley, and relaxing by the pool with her cousin and best friend, Sally Piscazzi.

Amelia was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin to all of her family. Spending time with her family was the main joy of her life. Amelia will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her warm personality, and for being a wonderful mother to her children, continuously supporting them throughout their milestones and achievements.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents William and Mary Cull; aunts and uncles Lucy (Rocco) Piscazzi, Frank (Clara) Masiella, Angela (William) Policy, Jennie (Joseph) DiFrangia, Norma (Anthony) Scarpitti, Mary Ann Cull (infant), Barbara (Robert) Akers, Josephine (William) Worrells, Marie (Richard) Worrells, Shirley (George) Cotton, Gerald Cull and Charles Cull.
