Angela Mary Bellios

Angela M. Bellios, 53, passed away unexpectedly, April 18th, 2025. Born March 24, 1972 in Akron, OH. Angela lived most of her life in the Brimfield area, graduating from Field High School, class of 1990.

After high school, Angela was a student at Akron University, where she was a member of The Alpha Phi Sorority, she later graduated from The Ohio Center for Broadcasting.

Angela was best known as a radio personality, she had a remarkable career in radio, leaving an enduring impact at WKDD, where her passion for giving back shone brightly through her involvement with numerous charities, particularly the Radiothon for Akron Children's Hospital. Her journey also took her to Mix 94.1 and ultimately to WNIR, where she concluded her illustrious career.

Her creative spirit and competitive flair found her at the young age of five, in the art of baton twirling. A champion twirler with an impressive collection of trophies and titles, she shone brightly as a member of esteemed groups like the Commanders and Royal Paraders. Her expertise and passion for twirling led her to become an NBTA judge for various competitions, as well as instructor to the next generation of twirlers. Notably, she played a pivotal role in guiding her students at the Chapparells Baton & Drum Corp. Her students held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time spent with them over the years.

Through her life, she was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron, OH., where she was involved in Sunday School, Greek School, the Greek Dance Group, GOYA and Maids of Athena.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Andreas and Angeliki Bellios; maternal grandparents, Lester and Mary Jane Duncan; her beloved brother, Andreas Bellios; and her sweet furbaby, Jade.

Angela is survived by her parents, Christos and Janet Bellios; sister, Athina (Brett) Mansdorf; the love of her life, niece, Marianna Mansdorf, all of Brimfield, Ohio; and also numerous aunts, uncles, cherished cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Donovan Funeral Home, I7 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with a Trisagon Service at 3:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2024 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St. Akron with Fr. Nick Manuel officiating.

Interment will be at Mt. Peace Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, AHEPA Scholarship Organization and Fr. Bartz Camp Nazareth.
