Barbara (Tkalec) Otterman

Barbara Otterman, 84, passed away September 3, 2021.

Born in Akron, Barbara lived in the Akron area all her life.  She was a graduate of Akron Central High School.  She was well known by the countless customers she served for many years in the carpet and flooring business in the Akron area. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was especially proud of and loved her sons and grandsons dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Otterman, parents, Frank and Mary Tkalec, and brother, Joe Tkalec.

Barbara is survived by her sons, John Smith and Mike (Melissa) Berger; grandsons, Michael Berger and Matthew Berger; stepdaughter Robyn (Rusty) Russell; brothers, Jim Tkalec and Tom Tkalec; best friend Pam Cannon; nephew, Joe Tkalec Thornton; and numerous other nephews and nieces.

Thank you, Mulberry Gardens, for providing a loving, caring, and nice place for mom to spend her final days.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
