Barbara Ann Young

Barbara Ann Young, 87, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2022 with her daughters and sister by her side.

Born to the late Joseph C. Gadel and Bernice H. (Wooster) Gadel, she lived most of her life in the Akron area graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1952.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted C. Young; infant son, Terry; and brothers, Hank Gadel and Jerry Gadel; sister, Rosemary Benchoff.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Deborah (David) Gauer of Tallmadge and Stephanie Apicella of Akron; sons, Theodore Young of Akron and Thomas Young of North Carolina; grandchildren, Steven (Lindsay) Gauer of Akron, Daniel (Cassie) Gauer of Aurora, CO, John Michels of Columbus and Ben Michels of Picerkington, OH; eight great grandchildren; Trent, Chase, Jax, Conor, Oliver Gauer and Leah, Sophia and Jack Michels; sister, Ann (Bill) Harmon of Ravenna; brother, Thomas Gadel of Clinton, and dear friend, Father John Hengle.

Per Barbara wishes there will be no calling hours.
