Barry "Frank" Franklin Mantooth

Barry Mantooth, 77, went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2023. He was born and lived his life in the Akron area.

Barry became a Christian later in his life and had since lived his life for the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Roxy Bishop.

Barry was the youngest of seven children and is survived by brother, Philip Mantooth; sister, Benay Anderson; many nieces, nephews and friends. He also leaves his Christian brothers, Dan Kristich and Bob Lutz who were always there to lend a hand, provide a meal or crack a joke. His special friend, Dawn Starcher, whom he shared Christian fellowship and many laughs; former pastors Richard (Joyce) Wooden and John (Debbie) Beers; and current pastor. Mike Duma.  He had many friends at the Akron Blind Center, especially. Scott and Tressa Riceburg, Sandra Lee, Karen, Gene, Shirley, Paul, Sandy; the entire family at the center loved Frank.

Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Five39 Church, 2240 Goodyear Blvd. Akron with Pastor John Beers officiating. (formerly Gospel Crusader Church).

He will be intered in Michigan next to his Mother.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Five39 Church or the Akron Blind Center.
