Bernice (Holmes) Polk

Bernice Polk, 96, passed away on May 22, 2023.

She was born on January 3, 1927, in Somerville, Tennessee but she lived most of her life in Maple Heights.

Bernice was an amazing cook and she owned two restaurants.

Her parents, Albert and Addie Holmes; daughter, Doris Polk-Davillier; and four siblings,

preceded her in death.

Bernice is survived by her granddaughter, Siroda Davillier; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Case officiating.

The interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
