Betty Marie Childers July 11, 1927 - February 16, 2025. 97 years old

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Betty Marie Childers on Sunday February 16th, 2025. Betty was born in Copley Ohio, and resided in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio the past 70 years.

Betty loved working in her yard, decorating her home for the holidays and baking goodies for others.  She also enjoyed crocheting, giving her home made treasures to family and others. In her younger years she loved hosting Christmas Eve in our family home. Mom never forgot a birthday, sending a card or making a phone call. She was close to her neighbors (Bill next door and Millie across the street). They were great company to her after the  passing of our dad 39 years ago.

The past 5 years she resided at Bath Creek Estates Nursing facility, where she made many new friends, the residents and staff members. She always made you feel loved even if she just meet you. She brought joy to the residents, staff, and health care workers there with her attitude. We called her the Mayor of Bath Creek.

We give special thanks to her good friend, Bev from St John's Episcopal Church where she attended, who treated mom like she was her mom.  Also to Darlene who took her out for shopping trips and lunch. We would like to give thanks to Samantha (Sam), one of many wonderful nurse's there at Bath Creek  and along with the aids for caring to mom.

She will greatly missed by us and her many friends and those who knew her.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Mabel Fryberger, step father Hormer Fryberger, and father Richard Taylor; her husband David C Childers Jr of 38 years. Betty is survived by her children, Richard (Jill) Childers, Robin Childers, Donna (Steve) Towns, Dan (Paula) Childers. 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mass and Christian burial will be at St. John's Episcopal Church, 11 am, February 28th, 2220 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. 44221
