Betty J (Dieckman) Vogt

Betty J. Vogt, 80, passed away peacefully January 1, 2017. Born in Cuyahoga Falls, she lived in the Tallmadge and Akron area all of her life.

Betty was a Courier with Summa Health for 14 years and a member of First Congregational Church of Cuyahoga Falls. She was also a member of the Salvation Army Women's Aux., Tallmadge Primetimers, Red Hat Society, she volunteered at many different organizations. Her laughter was contagious. Betty loved camping, bowling, cooking, baking and playing cards. She was especially known for her roast beef dinners, her famous homemade chocolate cake, and her stories behind every gift. But, she will best be remembered as a very loving person who cared deeply about her family, grandkids, friends and everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; parents, George and Florabelle (Scudder) Dieckman.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Cindy Cooper of Akron, Pam (Bob) Adaska of Stow, Bonnie (Dennis) Dixon of Cuyahoga Falls, Cheryl (Webb) Vogt of Florida; grandchildren, Anna (Herman), Ryan, Andy (Julie), Steve (Courtney), Daniel and four great grandchildren; sister Nanci (Eugene) Cochrane of Tallmadge; nieces, Margaret Ann, Kim, Diane, Tracey; nephews, Mick, Kevin; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her two beloved pets, Susie-Q and Frazier

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. following visitation with Rev. Scott Low officiating.
