Betty Rigrish, 89, passed away November 16, 2016.
Born in Akron, Betty had lived all her life in the area. She was a teacher with Hammel Actual College and employed with B.F. Goodrich for many years. Betty was a long time member of High Street Christian Church, and a member of ABWA for many years, the Bar Auxiliary, the Women's City Club, and very active at Concordia. Betty was the best bridge player there ever was. She was "Aunt Betty" to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; five sisters; and four brothers.
Betty is survived by her caregivers, nieces, Barbara (Jerry) Baley and family, Amy (Ray) Yost and family, Beth (Josh) Chisnell and family, and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to John and Debbie McDonald and the many friends at Concordia.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Joel Engman officiating.
Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
