Beverly J. Shackelford

Beverly J. Shackelford, 75, passed away September 22, 2017. She was born in Tallmadge and lived in the area all her life.

Beverly retired from the Treasury Dept. at Ohio Edison after 36 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Barberton and enjoyed golfing, playing cards and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Shackelford; sisters, Barbara King, Linda Rush; brother, Edward Shackelford.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Bonnie Shackelford of Tallmadge; brother, Robert (Diane) Shackelford of Akron; nieces, Cindy (Jim) Detweiler of Tallmadge, Debbie (Warren) Stoberman of Akron; and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to service on Thursday.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating.

Interment will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery.
