Bill B Kostich of Munroe Falls, Ohio peacefully passed away on June, 17, 2024 after a short illness. He was born on October 31, 1939 in Akron, Ohio to Gus B and Teresa Kostich. On September 2, 1961, Bill married Maryann, his lovely and talented wife for 62 years.
He is survived by Maryann; sons, William T (Gina), David M (Joni); grandson, Jesse T; brothers, Gus B (Beverly deceased), Thomas (Stephanie deceased); sister, Catherine A; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Kostoff (John deceased); and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Bill was a graduate of Central High School, received a BS degree from the University of Akron, and attended the Juran Institute of Technology. He was employed by BF Goodrich, Uniroyal Goodrich, and Michelin progressing through all engineering ranks through Senior Tire Development Scientist. Bill held managerial positions in BF Goodrich Air Marine Systems, International Industrial Products Support, and the Tire Division where he managed Truck and light Truck Tire Development. He also served as Technical Manager of BF Goodrich manufacturing facilities in Germany and the Middle East, and later as Manager of the International Quality Assurance Support for BF Goodrich and Michelin. Prior to retirement, he served on the Michelin technical staff for Aircraft Tire Research and Development. He retired with 43 years of service.
Bill served in the US Army National Guard and for several years was a member of the senior Civil Air Patrol. He held a private pilot license. Hobbies included wood working, classical music, and the shooting sports, being a Patron Life Member of the NRA.
Bill was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Tallmadge, Ohio serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on July 12, 2024. Visitation is at 10:30am; Mass is at 11:30am, with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on Our Lady of Victory's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ourladyofvictorychurchtallmadge/.
Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
