Bobby O. Taylor

Bobby O. Taylor, 90, passed away February 24, 2015.

Born in Fayette, Alabama, Bobby had lived in the Akron and Tallmadge areas since 1943.  He served in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1984 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co with 41 years of service. He was a long time member of Goodyear Heights Baptist Church.  Bobby enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking.  He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for many years and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June; son, Thomas; brother, Jerry Taylor; sister, Betty Eller.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Susan (Frank) Williams of Brimfield; son, David (Sharry) Taylor of Princeton, Illinois; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sandra Taylor of Tallmadge and Olive Henry; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historical Tallmadge Circle).

A Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor John E. Phillips officiating.
