Bonnie J. Shackelford

Bonnie J. Shackelford, 79, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2017. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in Tallmadge.  She retired from Ohio Edison. Co. in the Stock Transfer Dept. Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Barberton and volunteered at the Haven of Rest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Shackelford; sisters, Beverly Shackelford. Barbara King, Linda Rush; brother, Edward Shackelford.

Bonnie is survived by her brother, Robert (Diane) Shackelford of Akron; brother in law, Stanley Rush of Akron; nieces, Cindy (Jim) Detweiler of Tallmadge, Debbie (Warren) Stoberman of Akron; and many more nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to service on Tuesday.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
