Obituary

Bradford M. Bree

The City of Akron, Ohio shall not mourn his death, but celebrate the life of a local icon. Bradford was called to the Lord on January 4, 2015 after a very courageous battle with cancer.

He had been a local business owner in and around Akron his whole life. His longest lasting accomplishment of 35 years, B.G. Bree's, still stands on North Main Street on Akron's North Hill to this day. Had he not become ill he would gladly stay for another 35 years. It's a sad day, but also a beautiful life to be celebrated.

He leaves behind, his wife and life partner, Dawn Smith; his only son, Brandon Bree (Jackie Mudri); and his most intense love of all, his granddaughter, Brooklynn Bree. He also leaves behind many loving family members who will forever miss and adore him. To list the friends who loved him and lives he touched would be impossible.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Bree; sister, Renee Crangle; and other cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main), 552 N. Main St., Akron, with Father Joe Warner officiating. Private Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12 noon until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
