Carol L. Clark

Carol L. Clark (Whitford), 83, passed away November 2, 2026. She was born in Akron and lived her whole life there.

Carol was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister whose love and presence will forever remain in the hearts of her family.

Carol was a strong-willed, determined woman with an independent spirit and a stubborn streak that those who knew her will always remember. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and had a way of doing things on her own terms.

Carol found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially cooking, gardening and taking care of her animals. Whether spending time in her kitchen or tending to her plants and animals, she could make a house feel like a home.

Above all, Carol leaves behind a family who will cherish the memories they shared with her. She is survived by her children, Mark Puett, Diana Bergdorf and Sherry Bitecofer, her sister, Sylvia Kline, eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cindy Hubler in 2019 and a cherished grandson in 2020.

Carol will be remembered for her strength, determination, independent spirit, and the many memories she created through her life. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love and memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
