Carole V. Collins

September 1, 1976 — November 11, 2025

Tallmadge

It's with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carole (Goodman) Collins on November 11, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Originally from Palmyra, Virginia she moved to Akron, Ohio in 2003.

Carole was proceeded in death by her father, Charles Goodman.

She will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of nearly 20 years, Rick Collins; her beautiful daughter and son, Charley and Carson; mother, Rebecca Goodman; sisters, Julie Haynes, Holly (Jason) Hodges; mother and father-in-law, Geri and Rick Collins; sister-in-law, Ange (Jon) Gazdacko; several nieces and nephews.

A passionate photographer and an avid outdoor lover, Carole was always capturing candid smiles and creating memories as she loved to see the world through the lens of a camera.  Each year many looked forward to the photo calendars that she made as gifts.

More than anything she loved spending time with her family.  She loved being involved with her children's activities, school events and 4H.  Whether it be a social gathering, a road trip back home to Virginia, or to her favorite vacation spot of Myrtle Beach, she always enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones and taking pictures to document those moments.

A member of Montrose Zion United Methodist Church, her faith was strong and she was full of spunk. She never let cancer define her or dictate her life. She was a warrior to the end.

Special thanks to Hospice Affinity Care of Ohio, Summa Oncology, Stewart's Caring Place, CarsonStrong Foundation, Beth Nevmerzycki, Alyssa Vasquez, and "Nurse Momma Collins".

I have fought the good fight; I have finished the course; I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
