Tallmadge - Carole Johanna Angela Earl (Sabatini), 88, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul.
Born in New York City on February 23rd 1936 to her parents Joseph and Gertrude Sabatini, Carole entrusted her life to her Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. She grew up in Astoria, New York and attended Wheaton College (Illinois) and New York University and graduated with a degree in business.
She married the love of her life, Paul Earl in New York City and they settled in Long Island where they would raise their three children, Stephen, Brian, and Laura. Carole was a stunning homemaker and hostess and worked as the church secretary for Levittown Baptist Church for many years. She and her husband Paul were active members and leaders in several churches through the decades and opened their home to countless small groups and ministry opportunities. In the early 1970's they purchased a lakefront property in Plattsburgh, New York which would serve as an annual summer retreat for their family and many guests for forty years. Once their children had grown they moved from New York to Ohio, purchasing a charming home in Tallmadge, where they continued to host small groups and even home-school science classes. Carole was an avid correspondence enthusiast, sending thousands of thoughtful cards, notes, and letters over the years to friends and loved ones. She prided herself on creating a festive and decorative environment and providing an abundant array of goodies, appetizers and entrees for almost any occasion to friends and family. Carole's life was defined by an unshakeable faith in Christ and a relentless courage, optimism, and positivity that was truly an example to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carole is survived by her three children, Stephen Earl and wife Missy (Akron, OH), Brian Earl and wife Jackie (South Bend, IN), and Laura Kranshan and husband Tom (Copley, OH), eight grandchildren, David, Kelly, Nathan, Jamie, Mathew, Grace, Mark, and Bethany, and two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Lorenzo.
