Carroll L. Jones

Carroll L. Jones, 94,  passed away September 24, 2019. Born in Akron, he was a lifetime resident of Tallmadge.

Carroll served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic. He retired with over 40 years of service as a carpenter and cabinet maker at Carter Jones. Carroll  loved working in his in-home wood shop, and various other hobbies including krafting lapidary jewelry, taking and developing photographs,  building ham radios at home and building radios stations in Alaska,  and was an avid,  long standing  member of the Tallmadge and  Stow-Monroe Falls Kiwanis.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Jones; sister, Barbara Rush; brother, Lawrence and parents Raymond and Susan Elizabeth Jones.

Carroll is survived by his wife, Mabel "Gerri"; daughters, Becky (David) Kelly, Karen Jones, grandson, Bryan Kelly and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Schneider officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
