Catherine Lucy Donatelli

Catherine Lucy Donatelli, 88, passed away August 5, 2025. Born in Tilden, Illinois, she lived most of her life in the Akron area.

Catherine retired as a Secretary from Akron Board of Education at Hoban High School. She was a member of St. Anthony Church. Catherine loved to cook for her family and enjoyed playing bridge and euchre and watching the Guardians and the Cavs.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolin Atwood; and her siblings.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 66 years, John, whom she began dating in 1953; sons, Paul (Sabrina) Donatelli, Greg (Nora) Donatelli, Larry (Lisa) Donatelli; son in law, Milt (Terry) Atwood; grandchildren, Marina, Adam, Leena, Christopher, Brian, Leah, Michael, Lucia, Angelo, Blaise, Lorenzo; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025 at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at the church with Fr. Sam Ciccolini officiating.

Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Park.
