Charles C. Croley, 88, passed away February 18, 2016.
Born in Akron, Charles had lived in Tallmadge since 1972. He served at the end of WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps and retired in 1983 as an engineering draftsman from the Akron Water Department with 33 years of service. Charles attended First Congregational Church of Tallmadge and was a long-time member of Tallmadge PrimeTimers. He loved sports, coached little league baseball for 15 years, and was an avid bowler and card player. Charles had a great sense of humor and enjoyed dining out with friends and family.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Anne; sons, Clifford (Nancy) Croley of Green, Craig (Joanna) Croley of Bath, and Curt (Lin) Croley of New York; grand children, Noelle Croley of Chicago, Brandon Croley of New York City, Alyssa Croley of Chicago, Tyler Croley and Julia Croley both of Bath; sister, LaVerne Harris of Green.
Charles was preceded in death by father Ulie, mother Mary "Fannie", brothers Edson and Thomas, and sister Kathryn.
Private Services for family and relatives will be held Wednesday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home in Tallmadge.
Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
