Charles A. Towsley, 88, of
Tallmadge
, passed away peacefully on
August 23, 2014
after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on
September 14, 1925
in
Akron
.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Towsley and Claudia Cassidy; brothers, Phillip Towsley and David Cassidy he is survived by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Ann; sons, Denny (Cheryl) of Cuyahoga Falls, Michael (Connie) of Dallas, Wayne of Dallas and Jeff (Rose Luckay) of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Marc (Kerri), Kurt (Debbie Newland), Eric (Katie), Arielle, Ian, and Adam; and great-grandchildren, McKenna and Blaze.
Also surviving is his sweet little puppy, Cindy.
Charles was a US Army WWII veteran and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after 30 years.
He also worked at Roetzel and Andress Law firm for 7 years.
Cremation has taken place.
