Daniel John Blatt

A shining light has been dimmed…

On June 13, 2016, Daniel Blatt left this life and our hearts will never be the same.

Danny was born on May 2, 1987 in Taegu, South Korea. At 3 ½ months old, he joined his father and I at Detroit International Airport and our lives were forever changed.

He was a beautiful, intelligent, funny and a musically gifted young man. He brought such joy and laughter to everyone who knew him, and was loved by many.  He was happiest playing guitar, singing with his bandmates in Carina and performing at local bars.

Danny's memory will be etched forever on the hearts of his mother and father, Margie and Rick; his sister, Lauren; Aunt Ollie and Uncle Chris; his grandmother, Irene Blatt; Uncle Tom; all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dan's memory to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at AFSP.org.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. June 18, 2016 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Matusz officiating.
