Daniel J. Collins, 87, passed away June 16, 2024.
Born in Akron, Daniel had lived in Randolph since 1963. He retired in 2007 from Bricklayers Local #7 in Akron after 68 years of service. Dan enjoyed family get togethers, attending the children and grandchildren's school and athletic events, but most of all he looked forward to the annual trip to South Bend to attend Notre Dame football games.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne; parents, Daniel and Mary Collins; sister, Sr. Mary Francis and brothers, Tom and Art Collins.
Daniel is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Bud) Stebbins, Eileen (Dave) Cox both of Massillon; sons, Mike (Trudy) Collins of Brimfield, Kevin (Erica) Collins of Windham; grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Collins, Amanda (Donnie) Myers, Stephanie ( fiancé, Alex) Collins, Brandon (Rachel) Stebbins, Alina Stebbins, Kayla (Mark) Griffith, Tyler Cox, Becca (Austin) Milvet, Brooke (Matthew) Carnes; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Collins of Akron, Joyce Horvath of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave, (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown with Father Zachary Coulter officiating.
Interment will be at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery.
