Daniel Thomas Sadie

Daniel Thomas Sadie, 71, passed away August 25, 2026. Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in the Akron Area.

Daniel retired with 31 years of service as a Machinist from Pioneer Tool and Die. He enjoyed golfing and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a man of few words, but his actions and quiet presence spoke volumes. To those who knew him best, he loved much deeper than he ever let on. Daniel showed his love through steady support, a comforting presence, and being there when it mattered most. He also had a lifelong love for the game of golf. Whether he was playing a local round or embarking on unforgettable golf vacations with his children, those trips combined his two favorite things in the world: the game he loved and the children he adored.

His greatest pride and joy were his family. Daniel cherished every moment spent with his children and his grandchildren. Some of his happiest days were spent sharing a laugh, watching them grow, and creating quiet, lasting memories together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salem and Vicki Sadie; brothers, Timothy Sadie and Michael Tamarack.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Rachel (Terry Troha) Sadie; sons, Brandon Sadie, Daniel (Nicole) Sadie, Jr.; grandchildren, Amirah, Achilles, Kaleb, Avery; sister, Patricia (Paul) Ambrose; brother, Jim (Sheri) Sadie; nephew, Nick Sadie; nieces, Megan and Jessica; and many friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle)

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2026 at St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church, 927 N. Portage Path, Akron with Fr. George Haddad officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
