David E. Ilg

David E. Ilg, 65, passed away March 23, 2020.

Born in Akron, David had lived in the Tallmadge area for most of his life.  He served in the U.S. Army.  He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co as a mechanic.  He volunteered for the Boy Scouts and enjoyed cake decorating and woodworking.

David is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Ron Ilg of North Carolina and  Kevin Ilg of Akron; grandchildren, Kevin Oliver, Krystopher Marshall, Julia Oliver, Brad Boggs; parents, Pete and Dorothy Ilg; sisters, Rene of Copley, Dawn (Jeff) Starcher and Gina Ilg all from Tallmadge; brothers, Russ (Jan) Ilg of Tallmadge and Mark Ilg of Alaska; and many other family members.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
