David John Mencer

David John Mencer, 82, passed away November 17, 2022. Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Hartville.

David served in the U.S. Navy, retired as a press operator from Monarch Rubber and was a school bus driver for Lake Schools. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Randolph. David coached peewee football and little league. He enjoyed watching Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and the Indians.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosalia Mencer.

David is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Kim (Pat) Mencer and Jennifer (Tom) Hugill; son, David (Shelly) Mencer; sisters, JoAnn Ballas and Rosemary Mencer; brothers, George, Daniel, Jon and Thomas Mencer; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Private services will be held.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
