Dennis Parker Richmond, Jr., 55, of Akron, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 23, 2019.  Dennis was born in Akron to loving parents Dennis and Sandra.  Dennis was the most wonderful man; he would always say that he needed to work ten times harder than the average person just to prove himself useful. Dennis (Poppy) would do anything for his family especially his grandbabies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his fur babies.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father Dennis Parker Richmond Sr. and Stepfather Alben Keaton. He is survived by his Wife for 22 years Yvonne (Uphouse),  Children, Jacob (Lelee), Amber (Steven), Brittany; Mother Sandra Keaton (Snyder);  Brothers, Rick (Lisa), Brian (Alina), A.J. (Sarah), James (Tina); sister, Alicia (Josh);  Grandchildren Lillyan, William, Levi; many nieces, nephews and friends; and his beloved dogs Emmy, Frankie, Snicks, Backster.

The family will receive friends at Hennessy Funeral Home 552 North Main Street, Akron, OH 44310 (corner of York and Main) from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday August 28, 2019.  Funeral service will be Thursday August 29, 2019 at 1 pm at Hennessy Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Randolph Hillside Cemetery, 1704 Hartville Rd,, Mogadore, OH 44260.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or Funeral Home in his name.
