Dolores M. "Dolly" Urban

Tallmadge: Dolores M. (Dolly) Urban, 89, passed away, July 22, 2022.   Dolly, was born and raised in Toledo, OH, was a long-time resident of Tecumseh, Michigan, and a resident of Tallmadge for the past 22 years.

Dolly was a devoted wife and mother and dedicated her life to her family.  Vic was the love of her life and the "original lovebirds" were married for 64 wonderful years.  Whether they were on the go or just hanging out at home, Dolly and Vic were soulmates and always together.  You could see them walking hand in hand wherever they went.

Dolly was not just a fantastic mother but a great friend to her daughter, Vicky.   They had so many laughs and fun as Vicky was growing up.  She was always the mother who was at school functions or day trips and would always have a house full of Vicky's friends playing in the backyard or in the basement.  Dolly's outgoing personality endeared her to her family and blessed her with many friends over the years.

Dolly was an accomplished seamstress and was able to sew everything from clothes for Vicky, suits for Vic, curtains, and reupholstered furniture.  She also enjoyed cooking and decorating and was known to be asked by her Michigan neighbors to give several 'tours' of her house.  Dolly's creative talents also included painting portraits and nature scenes.

Dolly loved animals and nature.  She loved her dogs and 'granddogs' throughout the years.  She also enjoyed watching the deer and birds in her backyard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Sophia; husband, Victor.

Dolly is survived by her daughter Victoria (Christopher) Scott of Silver Lake, and several cousins.  She was also blessed with wonderful neighbors, friends, and caregivers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home Tallmadge, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).

Funeral service will be: Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Donovan Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.
