Eleanor Jones, 77, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family and went to be with her Lord on June 25, 2020. Born in Akron, she lived most of her life in Kent.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mazie Oblisk; brothers, Edward and Kenneth Oblisk; sister, Loretta Smith; and daughter in law, Erica (Stan) Cooper.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Jack (Judy), William (Natalie), Guy (Josie), Glenn (Cindy), Stan Cooper; brother, David Oblisk; sister, Esther Smith; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Don, her husband of 43 years, passed away a day later seemingly due to a broken heart. He grew up in Rootstown, spent most of his years in Kent and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elver and Wilma Jones; sister, Lianne.

Don is survived by his five step-sons; sisters, Rona Jones, Lois Blake, Kim Janoch; best friends, Mike Nash, Ron and Dee Pamer.

They were both members of Randolph Friendship Bible Church.

Visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Randolph Friendship Bible Church, 1703 St. Rte. 44, Randolph.

Funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Bill Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
