Doris Jean (Barger) Aurand

Doris Jean Aurand, 88, passed away November 9, 2015.

Born in Kent on December 31, 1926, Doris had lived in Tallmadge since 1955.

Doris was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and volunteered for the Red Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Margaret Barger; brother, Robert Barger; granddaughter, Holly Aurand.

Doris is survived by her husband, James, whom she married in 1947; daughters, Linda (Terry) Digman of Peoria, AZ, Janice Keeling of Mogadore, Beth (Roger) Riddle of Tallmadge; sons, Timothy (Candy) Aurand of Millersburg, Thomas Aurand of Litchfield, Gary (Paula) Aurand of Millersburg; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister in law Eleanor Barger of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces and nephews

Visitation will be 2 until 4 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) and one hour prior to the service at The Village at St. Edward.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at The Village at St Edward, 3131 Smith Road, Fairlawn with Father Marsick officiating.

Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery.

The hand of God shall hold you, the peace of God enfolds you, the love that dreamed and formed you still surrounds you here today. The light of God beside you, above, beneath, inside you, the light that shines to guide you home to the loving hand of God.
